An online get-together to create, reflect and celebrate.

Join us for a very special Crafternoon celebrating International Translator’s Day (St Jerome’s Day) — a day dedicated to interpreters, translators, and all who build bridges between languages and cultures. We will celebrate a very special milestone - the announcement of the first recipient of our Ewe & Me 2026 grant round, and honour the incredible legacy of Bev Sloan, a passionate interpreter, mentor, and friend to so many.

What's one thing you wish you'd known when you started interpreting?

It's a chance to reflect on those early days, share some of the things we've learnt along the way, and recognise the value of having good people around us as we develop professionally.

With permission, we'll share some of the wisdom gathered on the day in a Ewe & Me social series, "From the Flock", passing practical thoughts and reflections on to the next generation of interpreters.

And of course, we'll celebrate!

This event marks an important milestone for Ewe & Me and we can't wait to introduce our first recipient and celebrate with the people who have helped make it possible.

Crafting is completely optional; coming along is what matters. Together, we'll share stories, laughter, and crafts, all while raising funds to support the Ewe & Me Fund for interpreters.

• All of the above, plus a lovingly prepared Craft Pack sent to you, including:

  • Origami paper and cardstock
